**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team! This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for families while efficiently managing administrative tasks that keep our office running smoothly. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, detail\-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. You will serve as the first point of contact, handling multi\-line phone systems, greeting guests, and supporting various office management functions. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your administrative expertise in a fast\-paced, professional setting.
**Responsibilities**
* Greet families warmly, ensuring they feel welcomed and attended to promptly.
* Manage multi\-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer support skills.
* Maintain organized filing systems, including digital records using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools.
* Handle data entry, proofread documents, and perform clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and mailing.
* Support office management tasks including calendar management, appointment scheduling, and intake/outtake of personal effects.
* Assist with customer service inquiries via phone or email, providing accurate information and support.
* Coordinate office supplies inventory and ensure the workspace remains tidy and efficient.
**Skills**
* Proven experience in office administration or clerical roles with strong organizational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications.
* Proficiency in TXEVER (Texas Electronic Death Certificate)
* Excellent computer literacy with the ability to quickly adapt to new software or tools.
* Strong typing skills with attention to detail for proofreading and data entry tasks.
* Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to better serve diverse clients and staff.
* Experience with front desk operations, including managing multi\-line phone systems and visitor check\-ins.
* Knowledge of funeral procedures is a plus; familiarity with office management software such as NetSuite is beneficial.
