Job Description

We are seeking an organized, empathetic, and detail\-oriented Office Administrator to support our daily operations and provide exceptional service to the families we serve.
Position Summary
The Office Administrator serves as the primary administrative support for the funeral home, ensuring smooth office operations while assisting families, staff, and vendors. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet and assist families and vendors in a professional and caring manner.
* Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and inquiries.
* Manage scheduling, appointments, and calendars for funeral directors.
* Prepare, process, and maintain confidential records, permits, and other documentation.
* Assist with obituary submissions, memorial materials, and service\-related paperwork.
* Process invoices, payments, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
* Maintain accurate client files and database records.
* Order office supplies and manage general office operations.
* Support funeral directors and management with administrative projects as needed.
* Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or administrative training preferred.
* 2 years of administrative, office management, or customer service experience is preferred.
* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Sheets and other database management.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
* Professional demeanor and compassionate interpersonal skills.
* Comfortable with grieving families.
