Licensed Funeral Director

**Job Summary** We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding families through the funeral process, providing bereavement support, and ensuring that all aspects of the service are handled with dignity and respect. This role requires a blend of technical skills, customer service expertise, and emotional intelligence to support grieving families during their time of need. **Responsibilities** * Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral services, including transportation, preparation, and disposition of remains. * Provide bereavement support to families, offering guidance and assistance throughout the planning process. * Prepare deceased individuals for viewing by performing necessary tasks such as cosmetology and sanitation. * Manage the logistics of funeral events, including venue setup, scheduling, and coordination with vendors. * Conduct meetings with families to discuss their wishes and preferences for services. * Maintain accurate records and documentation related to each case. * Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and regulations pertaining to funeral services. * Assist in sales efforts by promoting pre\-planning options and memorial products. * Oversee and manage the on\-site crematory and staff **Skills** * Strong knowledge of anatomy and embalming techniques. * Proven experience in funeral directing with a focus on customer service. * Ability to provide empathetic bereavement support to grieving families. * Competence in heavy lifting and handling of remains safely and respectfully. * Proficiency in sanitation practices related to funeral services. * Skills in cosmetology for preparing deceased individuals for viewing. * Experience in sales, particularly related to funeral products or services. * Excellent event planning abilities to ensure seamless execution of funeral services.
