Job Description

**Job Overview** We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Funeral Director to lead the final arrangements process with professionalism and empathy. In this vital role, you will coordinate funeral services, support grieving families, and ensure all aspects of the funeral process adhere to legal, health, and safety standards. Your expertise will help families find comfort during difficult times while maintaining the highest standards of dignity and respect. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the community through compassionate service and meticulous planning. **Duties** * Coordinate and oversee funeral arrangements from initial consultation to service completion, ensuring all details are handled with care and precision * Provide bereavement support to grieving families, offering guidance and emotional comfort throughout the process * Manage transportation of remains, including heavy lifting and proper sanitation procedures for handling bodies * Prepare bodies for viewing by performing cosmetology, dissection, or other necessary procedures with professionalism and sensitivity * Plan and organize funeral events, including scheduling, venue setup, and coordination with clergy or officiants * Ensure compliance with health regulations by maintaining sanitation standards and proper documentation of all procedures * Assist families with sales of memorial products, caskets, urns, and other funeral merchandise while providing excellent customer service **Requirements** * Valid state license as a Funeral Director with active certification to practice in your jurisdiction * Experience in funeral directing, event planning, and customer service roles within the funeral industry * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during transportation and setup tasks * Excellent communication skills to provide clear guidance and support to families during sensitive times * Have a working knowledge of funeral software programs and ability to operate sound system * Knowledge of bereavement support practices to assist families emotionally after loss * Familiarity with sanitation protocols, cosmetology procedures, and dissection techniques required for body preparation Join us in delivering compassionate care with professionalism and respect.
