**Responsibilities**
* Guide families through funeral planning processes, providing empathetic support and clear explanations of services.
* Coordinate the preparation, embalming, and cosmetology of remains with precision and respect for all health and sanitation standards.
* Oversee the transportation of deceased individuals, ensuring safe handling and compliance with legal and safety regulations.
* Manage event planning for funeral services, including scheduling, logistics, and setup to create meaningful ceremonies.
* Maintain detailed records of all arrangements, documentation, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
* Provide bereavement support to grieving families, offering compassionate counseling or referrals as needed.
* Lead dissection or anatomical procedures when necessary for educational or identification purposes, demonstrating physiology and anatomy knowledge.
**Skills**
* Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy to handle remains with care and accuracy.
* Excellent customer service skills to connect with families empathetically during sensitive times.
* Proven experience in funeral directing, including embalming, cosmetology, and event planning.
* Knowledge of sanitation practices essential for maintaining a safe working environment.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when transporting caskets or equipment.
* Effective sales skills to assist families in selecting appropriate services while respecting their wishes.

Education:
* High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
* FUNERAL DIRECTOR: 2 years (Required)
Language:
* ENGLISH OR SPINISH OR BOTH (Preferred)
License/Certification:
* Funeral Director License (Required)

* Day Shift (Required)

Ability to Commute:
* Nashville, TN 37208 (Required)
Willingness to travel:
