We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer to join our team. **Duties**
* Coordinate and manage funeral arrangements from initial consultation through service completion, ensuring all family wishes are honored with compassion and professionalism
* Lead funeral services, including directing ceremonies, overseeing logistics, and managing the procession to provide seamless experiences for families and attendees
* Provide bereavement support by offering emotional comfort, guidance, and resources to grieving families during difficult times
* Prepare and handle deceased bodies with proper sanitation, cosmetology techniques, dissection skills, and adherence to safety standards
* Assist with event planning for memorial services, including venue setup, floral arrangements, multimedia presentations, and other personalized touches
* Conduct physical tasks such as heavy lifting of caskets or equipment while maintaining safety protocols
* Manage sales activities related to funeral merchandise and pre\-need arrangements while maintaining excellent customer service standards
* Ensure compliance with all state regulations and industry standards related to funeral directing and sanitation practices
**Skills**
* Extensive knowledge of physiology and anatomy to properly handle and prepare bodies with care and professionalism
* Strong customer service skills to empathetically support families through difficult decisions
* Expertise in funeral directing, event planning, and coordinating memorial services with attention to detail
* Proficiency in bereavement support techniques to assist families emotionally after loss
* Ability to perform dissection when necessary for educational or anatomical purposes
* Physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks involved in handling caskets or equipment safely
* Knowledge of sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment at all times
* Cosmetology skills for body preparation and presentation before services
* Sales acumen for guiding families through available products and pre\-arranged plans confidently
