Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

We are dedicated to providing a supportive environment that values your skills, empathy, and dedication to excellence. **Responsibilities** * Coordinate and oversee funeral services, ensuring all arrangements align with families’ wishes and cultural practices * Provide bereavement support to grieving families, offering comfort and guidance throughout the planning process * Manage the preparation of bodies, including sanitation, cosmetology, dissection, and anatomy considerations, adhering to health and safety standards * Assist with event planning for memorial services, including logistics, venue setup, and coordination with vendors or clergy * Conduct detailed consultations with families to understand their needs and explain available services clearly and compassionately * Handle heavy lifting involved in transportation and body preparation while maintaining strict sanitation protocols * Support sales efforts by explaining service options and helping families select appropriate packages or products **Experience** * Valid license as a Funeral Director In New York State with relevant state certification or licensing requirements fulfilled * Proven experience in funeral directing, including body preparation, event planning, and client interaction * Knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to body handling and dissection procedures * Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide empathetic support during sensitive times * Familiarity with bereavement support techniques and grief counseling principles * Experience in sanitation practices specific to mortuary environments and cosmetology skills for body restoration **Schedule** * Funeral Directors Get every other weekend off and every other week on call. * Paid Time off **Benefits** * Traditional Health Insurance offered with low co\-pays * Retirement options Pay: $49,000\.00 \- $63,000\.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Health insurance * Paid time off Work Location: In person
