Job Description
**Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate, detail\-oriented Licensed Funeral Director and \ to join our dedicated team. This vital role combines professional funeral directing with personalized support for grieving families, ensuring that every service is handled with dignity, respect, and efficiency. As a key member of our team, you will coordinate funeral arrangements, oversee the preparation of remains, and provide empathetic bereavement support to families during their most difficult moments. Your expertise will help us deliver meaningful tributes while maintaining the highest standards of sanitation, safety, and professionalism.
**Duties**
* Coordinate all aspects of funeral services from initial arrangements to final disposition, ensuring a seamless experience for families.
* Prepare and dress remains with care, utilizing cosmetology skills and dissection knowledge to ensure respectful presentation.
* Manage heavy lifting and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards and safety regulations within the facility.
* Provide bereavement support by offering compassionate guidance and resources to grieving families throughout their journey.
* Oversee event planning for memorial services, including logistics, floral arrangements, and coordination with vendors or clergy.
* Conduct sales activities related to funeral merchandise and pre\-arranged services while maintaining a customer\-first approach.
* Ensure compliance with all health regulations by maintaining sanitation standards and proper handling of biological materials.
* Assist with dissection or anatomical procedures when necessary, demonstrating thorough knowledge of physiology and anatomy.
**Experience**
* Valid licensure as a Funeral Director in accordance with state or regional requirements.
* Proven experience in funeral directing, including coordinating services and managing logistical details.
* Strong background in bereavement support, demonstrating empathy and excellent communication skills.
* Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to handle remains respectfully and accurately.
* Experience in event planning, sales, and customer service to create personalized memorial experiences.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to sanitation protocols diligently.
