Our state\-of\-the\-art cremation equipment meets all environmental standards. *To learn more about us, visit us at www.cremation\-society.com* Cremation Society is seeking a Licensed Funeral Director / Removal Staff member for its Romeoville, Illinois location. This is a full\-time position, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Compensation is $25\.00 per hour. This position is primarily road\-based and requires significant time spent driving to hospitals, nursing homes, hospice facilities, county medical examiner locations, and private residences. Unlike many funeral director roles, this position does not require evening on\-call rotation. However, there is opportunity for additional compensation through after\-hours removals. While not mandatory, willingness to assist after hours is highly valued and plays an important role in supporting company operations. **Responsibilities:** · Drive company vehicles and perform removals from hospitals, nursing homes, hospice care centers, county medical examiner locations, and residences. · Maintain company vehicles to ensure they remain clean, fueled, and properly stocked with required PPE to support safe and reliable operations. · Identify the deceased at time of removal using wristband procedures and create barcode labels upon intake in accordance with the company’s nine\-step identification process and State of Illinois requirements. · Respectfully place the deceased into cremation containers upon intake and verify/document identification in SRS Computing. · Assist with minimal preparation, dressing, and casketing. · Answer phones, greet families, and return cremated remains. · Perform removals after business hours in company\-provided vehicle (additional compensation awarded). · Enter data into SRS Computing and the State file system (IVRS); obtain signed death certificates; complete permitting processes as necessary. · Perform other duties as assigned by the company. **Requirements:** · Valid Illinois Funeral Director license. · Valid driver’s license with clean driving record per DMV report. · IVRS experience preferred. · Comfortable working independently and spending majority of time in the field. · Ability to lift and transfer decedents in accordance with safety standards. **Skills:** · Strong attention to detail, especially regarding identification procedures and documentation. · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with families and medical professionals. · Professional, compassionate demeanor. · Proficient with computers and database systems. · Organized and self\-motivated. · Ability to work independently while maintaining high operational standards.
