The ideal candidate will have a background in funeral service, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate compassion and empathy when assisting grieving families. **Responsibilities:** * Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral arrangements, including meeting with families to discuss options and preferences. * Arrange and prepare the deceased for funeral services or identifications. * Provide guidance and support to families throughout the funeral process, offering comfort and assistance during their time of loss. * Coordinate with clergy, florists, cemeteries, and other service providers to ensure seamless execution of funeral services. * On call responsibilities and weekend availability with a degree of flexibility in scheduling. **Qualifications:** * Valid Funeral Director's License in Maryland, or ability to obtain licensure. * Experience in funeral services, including direct interaction with families. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. * Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a genuine desire to support families in their time of need. **Benefits:** In addition to a competitive salary, we take care of our team with 100% employer\-paid health insurance for you and your dependents, a generous 10% 401(k) contribution—regardless of your personal contribution—paid licensing and continuing education fees, custom suits provided and paid vacation.
