Funeral Director/Embalmer Northern California

A Northern California Funeral home is seeking a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer with a minimum of five years of management experience to join our compassionate and innovative team as a full service working location manager. As a working manager, you will participate in and oversee all phases of the funeral home, ensuring exceptional care and personalized services for families with diverse needs and preferences. Pay Range: $66,560 \- $75,000 salaried (based on experience) Job Type: Full\-time, 8\-hour shifts, Monday to Friday with on call and weekends as needed. Licenses Required: Funeral Director License (Current CA license) Embalming License California Driver's License Skills Required: Self\-motivation, empathy, and dedication to providing exceptional service to families Computer and smartphone proficiency Funeral directing experience (minimum 7 years) Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Sensitivity and understanding of various philosophical systems and religions Familiar with all regulations and laws pertaining to CA funeral operations Management of at least 3 subordinates Key Responsibilities: * Engage with families to arrange personalized memorial services, ensuring top\-quality experiences. * Prepare decedents per family requests, including embalming, dressing, and other necessary preparations. * Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork, permits, and certificates in compliance with regulations. * Conduct and attend services regularly, offering post\-service follow\-ups as needed. * Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, maintaining high business standards.
