Job Description
**Overview**
Join our compassionate team as a Funeral Director, where you will play a vital role in guiding families through one of life's most sensitive moments. As a Funeral Director, you will coordinate funeral arrangements, oversee the preparation of the deceased, and provide bereavement support to families during their time of need. **Responsibilities**
* Coordinate and manage all aspects of funeral services, including planning, logistics, and execution to ensure smooth and respectful ceremonies
* Prepare the deceased with proper sanitation, cosmetology, dissection, and anatomy knowledge to present them respectfully for viewings and services
* Provide empathetic bereavement support and guidance to grieving families, offering clear communication and emotional reassurance throughout the process
* Oversee the transportation and heavy lifting involved in transferring remains safely and respectfully
* Maintain a clean, sanitized environment in accordance with health regulations and industry standards
* Plan and organize memorial events, coordinating with families to incorporate personal touches that reflect loved ones’ lives
* Conduct sales activities by explaining service options and assisting families in selecting appropriate arrangements
**Skills**
* Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to ensure proper preparation of remains
* Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to supporting grieving families
* Experience in funeral directing, event planning, and coordinating memorial services
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling caskets or equipment involved in funeral preparations
* Proficiency in sanitation practices to uphold hygiene standards in all aspects of the job
* Knowledge of dissection techniques used for embalming or body preparation when necessary
* Effective communication skills for providing clear guidance on bereavement support options and funeral arrangements
