**Job Overview**

**Duties**
* Collaborate closely with families to understand their wishes and develop tailored funeral plans that reflect their loved ones’ personalities and traditions
* Coordinate all logistical aspects of funeral services, including transportation, venue setup, and coordination with vendors
* Prepare and handle remains with professionalism, including embalming, cosmetology, dissection, and sanitation procedures to ensure respectful presentation
* Provide bereavement support by offering compassionate guidance and emotional assistance to grieving families
* Manage sales activities related to funeral packages, merchandise, and memorial products to meet client needs effectively
* Oversee event planning for funeral services, memorials, and receptions to ensure smooth execution from start to finish
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations through proper sanitation practices and heavy lifting techniques when handling caskets or equipment
**Skills**
* Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately handle remains and perform dissection when necessary
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally in sensitive situations
* Proven experience in funeral directing, event planning, and sales within the funeral industry or related fields
* Ability to provide bereavement support that offers comfort and guidance during difficult times
* Knowledge of sanitation standards and cosmetology techniques for preparing bodies for viewings or services
* Physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks involved in transporting caskets or equipment safely
* Familiarity with dissection procedures and anatomy knowledge essential for handling remains with respect and precision
