Funeral Director

Health insurance, Dental and Vision, Life insurance, 401K with company match, team referral incentives, pet insurance, short\- and long\-term disability, and more. **Responsibilities** * Coordinate and manage all aspects of funeral services, including planning, scheduling, and executing ceremonies that reflect families’ wishes. * Provide compassionate bereavement support, offering emotional assistance and guidance to grieving families throughout the entire process. * Embalming license needed to prepare and handle remains with professionalism. * Oversee transportation logistics for deceased individuals, ensuring safe and respectful movement from facilities to services or final resting places. * Conduct detailed documentation of all procedures, maintain accurate records of arrangements, and ensure compliance with legal and health regulations. * Assist families with selecting caskets, urns, and memorial products while providing clear sales information and options. * Collaborate with event planning teams to organize funeral services that meet the unique needs of each family. * The candidate must have a valid Pennsylvania funeral director license or the ability to obtain one from their experience in another state. **Skills** * Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to handle remains respectfully and accurately. * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally under emotional circumstances. * Experience in funeral directing, including managing logistics, coordinating services, and supporting bereaved families. * Embalming License * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling caskets or equipment. Able to lift at least 75 lbs. * Skilled in event planning to organize meaningful memorial services tailored to individual preferences. * Knowledge of sanitation procedures necessary for maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and visitors. * Competence in cosmetology for body preparation and presentation purposes. * Familiarity with dissection techniques used in body preparation when required by specific cases or protocols. * Experience in sales to assist families in selecting appropriate products while providing excellent service.
