Position Overview
The Licensed Funeral Director supports families through the cremation arrangement process while ensuring services are carried out with professionalism, empathy, and full compliance with Minnesota mortuary science regulations.
This role works closely with our team to provide thoughtful guidance, clear communication, and respectful care throughout the entire process.
This is a **flexible part\-time role** ideal for someone looking for meaningful work while maintaining balance in their schedule.
Responsibilities
* Provide compassionate guidance and support to families making cremation arrangements
* Meet with families to explain services, answer questions, and ensure they feel supported throughout the process
* Coordinate arrangements and documentation with hospitals, hospice providers, medical examiners, and care facilities
* Prepare and manage required documentation including permits, authorizations, and state forms
* Ensure all services and documentation comply with Minnesota mortuary science regulations
* Support cremation operations and logistics as needed to ensure smooth and respectful service delivery
* Communicate professionally and compassionately with families, healthcare partners, and community professionals
* Represent Minnesota Cremation Services with dignity, professionalism, and genuine care in every interaction
Qualifications
* Licensed Funeral Director in the State of Minnesota in good standing
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support families with compassion and professionalism
* Excellent organization and attention to detail
* Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion
* Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and providing exceptional care to families
* A collaborative mindset and desire to contribute to a positive workplace culture
