This paid position offers an opportunity to grow within a respectful generational family business. **Responsibilities** * Support funeral directors in planning and executing funeral services, including setup, coordination, and post\-service arrangements * Assist with heavy lifting of caskets, floral arrangements, and equipment to ensure safe handling and transport * Help organize memorial events, including scheduling, logistics, and ensuring all details align with family wishes * Engage in sales activities by explaining service options and assisting families in selecting appropriate arrangements * Maintain accurate records of service details, transportation logs, and client interactions * Collaborate with team members to ensure all safety protocols are followed during heavy lifting and event setup **Qualifications** * Prior experience or training in funeral directing or related fields is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide empathetic bereavement support * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a respectful manner * Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for managing logistics and documentation * Experience or aptitude in event planning to coordinate memorial services effectively * Sales experience or comfort discussing service options with families is a plus * Valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings as needed This role is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals who wish to make a positive impact while developing valuable skills in funeral services.
