Full-Time Dispatcher – Mortuary Transport

**Job Overview** We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Full\-Time Dispatcher specializing in Mortuary Transport to join our dedicated team. This position offers an engaging environment where your problem\-solving abilities and attention to detail will make a meaningful impact every day. **Duties** * Answer incoming calls and gather complete first\-call information * Enter and update jobs in dispatch software * Assign drivers based on location, availability, call priority, and response time * Communicate clearly with drivers, facilities, funeral homes, and management * Monitor active calls from dispatch through completion * Prioritize urgent calls, hospital holds, donor cases, and family\-present removals * Maintain accurate notes, call details, and chain\-of\-custody documentation * Follow company procedures for removals, releases, inventory, and driver communication * Identify issues and escalate concerns to management when needed * Support daily operations and help maintain smooth workflow **Experience** * Dispatch, logistics, funeral home, transportation, or customer service experience preferred * Strong phone and communication skills * Ability to multitask and make decisions quickly * High attention to detail and accuracy * Professional, calm, and respectful demeanor * Comfortable working around death\-care related information * Basic computer skills required * Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow procedures **Ideal Candidate** The right person is organized, steady under pressure, and understands that details matter. Schedule may include weekdays, weekends, holidays, and/or on\-call rotation based on business needs.
