Embalmer and Funeral Director

**Job Summary** We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Embalmer and Funeral Director to lead and coordinate all aspects of funeral services with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of grieving families while demonstrating exceptional customer service and event planning skills. **Responsibilities** * Provide bereavement support to families, offering comfort and guidance throughout the funeral planning process * Coordinate funeral arrangements, including scheduling, transportation, and service logistics, ensuring seamless event execution * Prepare bodies for viewing through cosmetology, dissection, and sanitation procedures while maintaining respectful handling at all times * Oversee heavy lifting and physical tasks related to body transportation, casketing, and setup of funeral services * Manage sales activities related to funeral packages, merchandise, and memorial products with professionalism and sensitivity * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by maintaining sanitation standards and proper dissection techniques when necessary * Assist families with documentation requirements, including death certificates and legal paperwork **Experience** * Prior experience in funeral directing or related roles within the funeral services. Licensed in Indiana. * Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to handle body preparation accurately and respectfully * Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service during sensitive situations * Experience in event planning to coordinate funeral services efficiently * Familiarity with bereavement support practices to assist grieving families effectively * Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting safely and efficiently * Knowledge of sales techniques within a service\-oriented environment is advantageous This role is a paid position committed to supporting you through comprehensive training and ongoing professional development.
