Embalmer and Funeral Director

**Job Overview** We are seeking a compassionate and detail\-oriented Person and Funeral Director to join our dedicated team. This vital role combines the responsibilities of guiding families through difficult times with the technical expertise of funeral directing and mortuary services. As a Person and Funeral Director, you will provide empathetic bereavement support, oversee funeral arrangements, and ensure all procedures adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards. Your work will help families find comfort and closure while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and care. **Responsibilities** * Assist grieving families with funeral planning, including service arrangements, transportation, and memorial options * Provide compassionate bereavement support to families before, during, and after services * Coordinate all aspects of funeral services, including event planning, setup, and execution * Perform mortuary duties such as body preparation, cosmetology, dissection (as needed), and sanitation to ensure respectful handling of remains * Manage heavy lifting tasks related to body transportation and equipment setup while maintaining safety protocols * Conduct anatomy and physiology assessments to inform embalming or preservation processes * Ensure all procedures comply with health regulations, sanitation standards, and legal requirements * Engage in sales activities by explaining service options and assisting families in making informed decisions **Experience** * Prior experience in funeral directing or mortuary science is highly preferred * Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and dissection techniques * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically * Experience in event planning to coordinate funeral services seamlessly * Familiarity with sanitation practices related to mortuary work and cosmetology for body preparation * Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting safely and efficiently * Background in bereavement support or counseling is a plus Join us in providing meaningful support during life's most challenging moments.
