Temporary Event Assistant

All positions are paid, offering valuable experience and professional growth. **Key Responsibilities** * Greet attendees and provide a welcoming environment * Distribute promotional items and event materials * Assist with children’s activities and games, including: * Egg hunts (effortly laying out eggs) * Egg \& Spoon Race * Bunny Hop Relay * Arts \& Crafts (paper plate bunny activity) * “Pin the Tail on the Bunny” * Organize age groups for activities and maintain order * Direct guests to restrooms, refreshments, and activity areas * Distribute snacks and beverages * Check in all attendees and ensure wristband compliance * Assist with parking direction and monitor traffic flow * Maintain cleanliness of restrooms throughout the event * Monitor indoor facilities for safety and organization * Collect and dispose of trash during and after the event **Requirements** * Positive, outgoing, and professional attitude * Comfortable interacting with the public * Strong communication skills (not shy or passive) * Patient and respectful with all attendees and staff * Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team **Work Expectations** * No phone use in front of attendees * Maintain professionalism at all times * Avoid conflict; bring any issues to event host or supervisors * Be flexible and willing to rotate between different tasks **Dress Code (Required)** * White polo shirt (short or long sleeve, tucked in) * Blue jeans (no holes or tears) * Optional: Black jacket if needed for cold **Appearance Guidelines** * Hair must be in a pony\-tail as needed for food service and safety * Natural hair color only * No visible facial piercings * No visible facial tattoos * No visible gang\-related or violent tattoos **Attendance Policy** * Must arrive **no later than 1:30 PM** * Late arrivals WILL be dismissed before the event * Must remain until **7:00 PM or until officially released by management** * Unauthorized early departure will result in forfeiture of compensation **Additional Information** * Mandatory pre\-event Zoom meeting (details provided after hiring) * Event officially ends at 6:00 PM; early dismissal may occur if cleanup is completed * Do not rush or pressure attendees to leave * NO writing or logos on polo shirts * Must be able to stand/walk/lift/push during the entire event **Why Work With Us** Luna Family Funeral Home is committed to serving the Arlington community with compassion, professionalism, and integrity.
