Seasonal Cemetery Grounds Maintenance - APRIL1 START

**Job Summary** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This role involves a variety of tasks including landscape maintenance, lawn care, and general groundskeeping duties. The successful applicant will have a passion for working outdoors and a commitment to ensuring that our grounds are well\-kept and inviting. **Responsibilities** * Perform regular lawn care, including mowing and trimming to maintain healthy grass. * Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various landscaping tasks. * Assist in preparing for burials and attending burials. This entails assisting with preparing the gravesite before the burial, attending the burial, and filling the grave after the burial is over. This may require Saturday attendance with paid overtime. * Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair. * Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored after use. * Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. **Qualifications** * Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required. * Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping work. * Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. * Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor for extended periods. * A positive attitude and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
