Safety Employee/Groundskeeper

**Overview** The role of a safety employee is an "At Will" employee and is under the supervision of the manager and or supervisor. Key functions of the position will include promoting a safe work place, opening \& closing graves and other tasks involved in the cemetery operations. Perform routine and basic gardening and grounds work in maintaining lawns, landscape areas, buildings and equipment and to do related work as required. **Duties** * Perform all burial related needs * Perform all landscaping needs such as mow, edge, blow, spray, tree trimming, etc. * Installation, maintenance and repair of sprinkler systems * Operate Tractors, Backhoes, Dump Trucks, Ride on Mowers * Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment and minor repairs * Cement work * Maintain a clean and safe work environment **Requirements** * High School diploma or equivalent * Valid CA drivers license with a clean record * Ability to lift a minimunm of 50 lbs * Drug Screening and background check * Bilingual is a plus * Able to drive a stick shift or the willingness to learn * Able to work in the heat for long periods of time Pay: $18\.00 \- $21\.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental insurance * Health insurance * On\-the\-job training * Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
