PET MEMORIAL CONSULTANT II

Description: The Pet Memorial Consultant meets with families who are making arrangements for their pets on both an At\-Need and Pre\-Need basis, transfers pets from various locations, as well as creates memorials and keepsakes. Compensation range is $20\-25 per hour. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Providing outstanding customer service to our families, vet clinics and vendors * Able to meet with families making arrangements extending empathy and care * Assuring documentation is accurate and complete * Maintaining positive control of animals or cremated remains during the transfer process * Demonstrating safety and courtesy, while driving company vehicles * Able to handle and work with deceased pets * Effectively manage multiple tasks and fluctuating demands * Maintain general cleanliness of desk, work areas and vehicles * Answer phones, prepare contracts, communicate service needs both in written and verbal manner * Able to work a flexible schedule * Follow set processes, schedules and directions for service needs both written and oral * Possession of a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company’s insurance provider * Accommodate extensive lifting * Work efficiently, independently and manage time well * Strong communication skills, both spoken and written * Provide support to the manager and crematory operator on an “as needed” basis * General care and maintenance of the vehicles * Help other departments when needed * All other duties as assigned. The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.** * **Able to lift 50 pounds independently or by use of company equipment and devices** * **Able to work outdoors and drive in inclement weather and hours of darkness** * **Able to bend and lift extensively each day** **REQUIRED EDUCATION** * **High School diploma or GED** * **Some college or technical education desired** **MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:** * **Two years of customer service experience** **MINIMUM** * **Analyze situations and take appropriate actions on changing conditions and situations** * **Able to multi\-task and establish priorities** * **Able to communicate effectively and professionally** * **Interact well with families, vet clinics and fellow employees** * **Create positive work environment through knowledge, performance, attitude and teamwork**
