**Job Summary** We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and professional **Pet Removal Driver** to support in‑home and veterinary clinic pet removals. The Pet Removal Driver plays a critical role in ensuring pets are handled with dignity, respect, and professionalism during the aftercare transition process. This role is ideal for individuals who are calm under pressure, emotionally steady, and comfortable working in sensitive situations while providing exceptional care and service to families and veterinary partners. If you are reliable, physically fit, and committed to delivering exceptional service, this opportunity is perfect for you to make a meaningful difference every day. **Responsibilities** * Safely operate industrial vehicles designed for pet removal and transport, ensuring secure handling of remains at all times * Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of pet caskets or containers, adhering to safety protocols * Navigate routes efficiently to pick up pets from homes, veterinary clinics, or other designated locations * Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of transport equipment and vehicle interiors in compliance with health standards * Communicate professionally with clients, providing reassurance and support during sensitive situations * Communicate clearly and compassionately regarding next steps, timelines, and services * Maintain a professional appearance and uphold company standards of care * Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning of mechanical components and safety features * Document all transportation activities accurately, including pickup times, locations, and any special instructionsSkills * Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic vehicle issues and maintain industrial equipment used in transport processes * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various environmental conditions * Experience with industrial equipment such as lifts or carts used for handling pet remains or containers * Background or interest in funeral directing is a plus, demonstrating sensitivity and understanding of end\-of\-life services * Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with clients during emotionally challenging moments * Physical stamina and attention to safety protocols when performing manual tasks or operating vehicles * Reliable work ethic with a focus on punctuality, professionalism, and confidentiality * Respond to on‑call requests, including evenings, weekends, and holidays * Work independently while staying in communication with leadership and team members This role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide comfort and dignity to pet owners during their time of need. Join us in making a positive impact through compassionate service! **Skills and Qualifications:** * Strong customer service skills; sales or relationship‑based experience preferred * Emotionally resilient, compassionate, and respectful in high‑stress or sensitive situations * Comfortable handling deceased animals with professionalism and care * Ability to follow strict procedures and attention to detail * Clean driving record and successful background check required * Must be able to lift **75–100 lbs** safely and consistently * Comfortable working in a drug‑free environment * Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and on‑call rotations * Ability to make sound decisions with empathy and professionalism **Preferred / Bonus Experience** * Experience in funeral services, crematory operations, veterinary care, or animal aftercare * Prior experience handling deceased animals or humans * Background in customer service, sales, or relationship management Pay: $16\.00 \- $18\.00 per hour Benefits: * Flexible schedule Application Question(s): * Have you handled deceased animals before?
