**Responsibilities**
* Deliver compassionate spiritual counseling tailored to the individual needs of hospice patients and their families, respecting diverse faith backgrounds and beliefs.
* Provide bereavement support to families before and after a patient’s passing, helping them navigate grief with sensitivity and understanding.
* Lead or assist in educational sessions, workshops, or community events focused on spiritual well\-being, grief management, and hospice care topics.
* Offer crisis intervention and conflict management when emotional or spiritual distress arises, ensuring patients and families feel supported and heard.
* Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members—including medical staff, social workers, and volunteers—to coordinate holistic patient care.
* Maintain accurate documentation of spiritual assessments, counseling sessions, and bereavement contacts in compliance with organizational policies.
* Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with best practices in counseling and spiritual care.
* Prior experience providing pastoral or spiritual counseling within hospice or healthcare settings is highly preferred.
* Demonstrated expertise in bereavement support, crisis intervention, and crisis management techniques.
* Strong public speaking and presentation skills to effectively lead group discussions or educational events on spiritual topics.
* Proven leadership abilities with experience mentoring colleagues or volunteers in sensitive environments.
* Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—to convey empathy clearly and build trust with diverse populations.
* Background in event planning or organizing community outreach initiatives related to hospice care or spiritual health is a plus.
* Familiarity with counseling principles combined with an open\-minded approach to supporting individuals of all faiths or beliefs. Pay: $45\.00 \- $65\.00 per hour
