Our team is committed to providing compassionate and respectful services during life's most difficult moments. **Job Overview** We are seeking Funeral Home Removal Team Members to join our dedicated staff. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the respectful transportation and removal of deceased individuals from various locations in Delaware and surrounding Counties to our funeral homes in Delaware County, using company provided vehicles. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, physical stamina, and excellent communication skills to support families and uphold our company's standards of dignity and care. Flexible scheduling with on\-call, evening, and weekend coverage and duties. Response time of 20 \- 25 minutes to the city of Delaware is required. **Responsibilities** * Operate company vehicles, including shuttle vans, in a safe and professional manner to ensure the dignified removal and transport of loved ones from medical facilities and private residences. * Assist with lifting and proper handling of remains in accordance with safety protocols, dignity, care, and respect. * Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of vehicles used for removals. * Communicate effectively with families, funeral home staff, and other team members to coordinate removal schedules. * Ensure all transportation activities comply with local traffic laws and health regulations. * Support the loading and unloading process with care, sensitivity, and professionalism. * Keep detailed records of transport activities, including times, locations, and any incidents. **Experience** * Previous experience as a delivery driver helpful. * Familiarity with paratransit or heavy lifting tasks is beneficial. * Strong communication skills and the ability to provide sensitive and excellent customer service are essential. * Knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines and safety procedures. * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record are essential. * Ability to perform physically demanding tasks reliably and safely in various weather conditions.
