Part-Time Funeral Assistant

**Position:** Part\-Time Funeral Assistant **Pay:** $14\.00 \- $16\.00 per hour **Job Description:** **Overview:** We are a family owned and operated firm seeking a qualified person within our immediate service area to assist in a vital role in funeral service. **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated and organized person with a desire to serve others. This individual must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with others in an effective and compassionate manner. This individual will need to maintain a professional appearance, exemplify honesty, integrity, and confidentiality always. This candidate must possess a clean driving record and a current valid driver's license. They must have a willingness to accept on call status regularly for transporting the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home. These hours will be regularly scheduled from 5:00 pm to 9:00 am, as well as during daytime hours and weekends as needed. Service duties will generally be indoors; however, some duties will be outdoors which may subject individual to inclement weather, extreme temperatures, and uneven grounds. This individual may also help with service technology including recording, videography, and running sound systems during funeral and memorial services. **Job Requirements:** · Ability to work a flexible and rotating schedule · Ability to perform heavy lifting · Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal · Candidate must possess and maintain a clean driving record, a valid driver’s license, and must be insurable under company vehicle insurance **Duties:** · Careful and compassionate transfer of deceased from place of death to our funeral homes · Accept on call status as needed, usually multiple nights per week for body transfers including weeknights and weekends · Provide support to staff by preparing requests, managing supplies, and equipment · Heavy lifting · Maintain vehicles in service ready condition \- washing and interior cleaning · Ensure that public facilities and spaces are always clean and in patron ready condition · Greet and direct client families and their guests · Support all funeral directing activities in a professional and empathetic manner Our establishments are 100% smoke\-free and vapor free Pay: $14\.00 \- $16\.00 per hour Shift availability: * Overnight Shift (Preferred) Work Location: In person
