Mortuary removal technician

**Job Summary** We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mortuary Removal Technician to join our team. This role is essential in providing respectful and professional services during a sensitive time for families. The Mortuary Removal Technician will be responsible for the safe and dignified transportation of deceased individuals from various locations to the mortuary, ensuring adherence to all legal and ethical standards. **Duties** * Conduct removals of deceased individuals from homes, hospitals, or other locations with utmost respect and care. * Prepare and secure the deceased for transport, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. * Communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals to provide bereavement support during the removal process. * Maintain accurate documentation of each removal, including details of the location, time, and condition of the deceased. * Assist funeral directors with event planning related to memorial services as needed. * Perform heavy lifting and maneuvering of equipment necessary for safe transportation. * Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the mortuary. **Experience** * Previous experience in funeral directing or a related field is preferred but not required. * Skills in event planning are advantageous for assisting families in coordinating memorial services. * Ability to provide bereavement support to grieving families with empathy and professionalism. * Experience in sales may be beneficial for engaging with families about available services. * Must be physically capable of heavy lifting and moving equipment as required by the role.
