Licensed Crematory Operator

Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Crematory Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining cremation equipment, ensuring that all processes are conducted in a respectful and professional manner. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, as well as the ability to handle sensitive situations with care and empathy. **Shift expectation: Saturday and Sunday** **Essential Duties \& Responsibilities** * Act with a high level of uncompromising integrity, ethics and compassion for the care of deceased pets * Work within established safety guidelines and utilize appropriate PPE equipment * Complete all required documentation in an accurate, organized and legible manner * Properly label all deceased pets prior to the start of the cremation process * Prepare and package cremated pet remains with care and dignity * Deliver cremated remains to the appropriate party * Maintain the crematorium, equipment and adjacent facilities * Promote positive working relationships and efficient and effective communication * Communicate effectively with all hospital teams to find solutions and resolve concerns * Adhere to all company policies, procedures and guidelines * Perform other duties as deemed necessary **Preferred Education \& Experience** The ideal candidate will have: * High school diploma or equivalent * Valid driver’s license required * Certification to operate crematory equipment required * Previous animal care background is a plus **Competencies** * Strong customer service skills * Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask * Collaboration and teamwork * Organized with strong attention to detail * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work in a fast\-paced environment * Ability to stay calm and efficient during times of high tension **Benefits:** * 401k Matching * Medical, dental, vision benefits. * Mental Health Benefits * Employee Discounts * Holiday pay * Paid time off * Life insurance * Disability Insurance * Shift differentials * On the job training * Access to Online Educational Portal * Staff Events * Shift differentials of up to $2\.50 more **Physical Demands** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
