* Saint Louis, Missouri * Clinical Services and Support * Days * Full\-Time * 108972 * STL1\-E36 * $76,252\.80 – $124,155\.20 / year (Salary or hourly rate is based on job qualifications and relevant work experience) **Job Description** ------------------- **Additional Information About the Role** Provides clinical and administrative leadership for hospice social workers serving the **St. Louis Region**, ensuring high‑quality psychosocial care and regulatory compliance. Generally Monday\-Friday hours while participating in a **rotating on‑call schedule.** **Overview** **BJC Home Care** offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing services, adult and pediatric hospice and supportive care, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, infusion treatment rooms, home medical equipment and high\-tech respiratory care. Specialty home care programs also are available, including adult and pediatric asthma, cardiac, diabetes, orthopedic and wound care programs. BJC Home Care provides care to thousands of patients in both Missouri and Illinois. Serving more than 25 counties, it has become the largest home care network in the region and one of the largest in the country. Hospice, the final stage of BJC's continuum of care, is a special kind of caring for patients with a life\-limiting illness. Services are provided in the comfort of the patient's home or skilled nursing facility. The Hospice staff are sensitive to the physical, psychosocial, emotional and spiritual needs of terminally ill adult and pediatric patients and their families. We provide a multi\-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals and volunteers, specially trained in symptom management, pain control, counseling and bereavement services for the dying. Our Hospice services include alternative therapies such as music, art and massage therapy. Our Hospice programs provide palliative care by helping patients manage their pain and symptoms while living their lives with daily peace and dignity. **Preferred Qualifications** **Role Purpose** This role monitors and coordinates Social Work and Chaplains Services. Coordinates the administration of comprehensive Social Work \& Spiritual Care patient needs. Understands and participates in the operational processes of the patient care area and as part of the multidisciplinary team to deliver the safest and most efficient/effective patient care. Evaluates patients care and programming through direct supervision and chart reviews. Ensures services meet Medicare/Medicaid, TJC and department requirements. **Responsibilities** * Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages \& evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. * May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals. * Manages and directs daily client care and staff activities. * Coordinates services with other health care providers. * Performs on\-site supervisory visits and serves as clinical resource to the social work and chaplain staff. * BJC has determined this is a safety\-sensitive position.
