**Position Available: Part\-Time/PRN Hospice Chaplain**
**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Provide spiritual care and emotional support to hospice patients and their families, respecting diverse beliefs and faith traditions.
* Assess the spiritual and emotional needs of patients and develop individualized care plans to offer comfort, peace, and guidance during the end\-of\-life journey.
* Offer pastoral counseling and support for patients, families, and caregivers, helping them cope with grief, fear, and loss.
* Collaborate with the hospice care team, including nurses, social workers, and volunteers, to provide comprehensive, holistic care.
* Facilitate spiritual rituals, prayers, and other religious practices as requested by patients or their families.
* Provide bereavement support to families before and after a patient's passing, helping them through the grieving process.
* Maintain accurate documentation of visits and interventions in patient records, ensuring compliance with hospice care regulations.
* Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and contribute to decision\-making processes.
* Serve as a compassionate resource for staff, offering spiritual support as needed to the hospice care team.

**Qualifications:**
* Master of Divinity (M.Div.), Theology, or equivalent pastoral care training.
* Ordination or endorsement by a recognized faith group.
* Previous experience providing spiritual care in hospice, healthcare, or related settings is preferred.
* Strong understanding of end\-of\-life care, grief counseling, and bereavement processes.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide comfort to patients and families from diverse backgrounds.
* Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
* Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient and family care, respecting individual beliefs and cultural practices.
* Familiarity with hospice care regulations and best practices is a plus.
