Hospice Chaplain (Part-Time)

Hospice Chaplain (Part\-Time) Location: Nogales, AZ and surrounding areas Dependable Home Hospice and Palliative Care is seeking a **compassionate Hospice Chaplain** to join our interdisciplinary care team. Hospice care focuses on improving quality of life for individuals with life\-limiting illnesses while providing meaningful support to their families and caregivers. The Hospice Chaplain provides spiritual care, emotional support, and bereavement counseling to patients and families while collaborating closely with our clinical team to ensure holistic, patient\-centered care. ### **Essential Responsibilities** * Conduct **initial and comprehensive spiritual assessments** for hospice patients and families. * Provide **spiritual counseling, grief support, and end\-of\-life spiritual care**. * Participate in the **interdisciplinary team (IDG)** to develop individualized plans of care. * Ensure compliance regarding bereavement counseling. * Coordinate with **community clergy and spiritual counselors** representing diverse faith traditions. * Maintain accurate **documentation of spiritual care services** and related communications. * Attend **patient care conferences and IDG meetings**. * Provide **education and support to staff** regarding spiritual care and grief support. ### **Qualifications** * Experience as a **Chaplain or in hospice/palliative care** preferred. * Training or experience in **grief and bereavement counseling**. * Ability to provide compassionate support to individuals of **diverse spiritual or religious backgrounds**. * **Spanish\-speaking ability is a plus**, given the community served. ### **Why Join Dependable?** Dependable Home Hospice and Palliative Care is committed to providing compassionate, holistic care to patients and families during life’s most meaningful moments.
