Part\-Time Hospice Spiritual Care Counselor / ChaplainJoin Our Compassionate Hospice Team
We are seeking a **Part\-Time Spiritual Care Counselor / Hospice Chaplain** to join our growing hospice team. This position provides spiritual and emotional support to patients and families throughout the greater metro area as part of an interdisciplinary hospice care team.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and comfortable traveling throughout a larger service territory to support patients wherever they call home.

Position ResponsibilitiesSpiritual Care \& Patient Support
* Conduct spiritual assessments as part of the comprehensive patient evaluation
* Provide ongoing spiritual and emotional support to patients and families
* Respect and support diverse religious beliefs, spiritual practices, cultures, and values
* Assist patients and families with coping, grief support, and end\-of\-life transition
Care Planning \& Team Collaboration
* Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning
* Collaborate with nurses, social workers, aides, physicians, and community clergy
* Coordinate with local faith leaders when requested by patients or families
* Document visits and spiritual care interventions accurately and timely
Territory Coverage
* Travel throughout the metro service area to visit patients in homes, facilities, and care communities
* Maintain a consistent part\-time schedule while managing patient visits across the service area
QualificationsRequired
* Ordained, commissioned, credentialed, or formally recognized by an organized religious group
**OR**
* Degree in theology, divinity, ministry, seminary studies, or related field
* Comfortable working in an interfaith and spiritually diverse environment
* Ability to provide compassionate support to individuals of all backgrounds and belief systems
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
Preferred
* Previous hospice, palliative care, hospital, or counseling experience
* Experience working independently in community\-based care settings
* Strong time management and organizational skills
