**Job Summary**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Chaplain to provide spiritual care and emotional support to patients, families, and staff within our hospice services. This vital role involves offering comfort through Christian counseling, facilitating bereavement support, and guiding individuals through end\-of\-life journeys with empathy and respect. The Hospice Chaplain will serve as a spiritual resource, fostering hope, peace, and understanding during challenging times. **Responsibilities**
* Provide spiritual care and counseling tailored to patients’ faith traditions, including Christian counseling when appropriate.
* Offer bereavement support to families before and after a patient’s passing, helping them navigate grief with sensitivity.
* Lead religious services, prayer sessions, and spiritual rituals in accordance with patient preferences.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop holistic care plans that incorporate spiritual needs.
* Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict management among patients, families, or staff as needed.
* Deliver educational presentations on topics related to hospice care, grief management, and spiritual well\-being through public speaking engagements or community events.
* Mentor and train staff or volunteers in providing compassionate spiritual support and effective communication techniques.
**Qualifications**
* Proven experience in hospice care or related healthcare settings with a focus on spiritual or pastoral support.
* Strong skills in teaching, public speaking, presentation development, and event planning.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen actively and convey empathy clearly.
* Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience mentoring others and managing conflict or crises effectively.
* Knowledge of bereavement support strategies, crisis intervention methods, and crisis management protocols.
* Background in Christian counseling or similar faith\-based counseling is preferred.
* Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, compassion, and confidentiality.
