This paid role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while utilizing your teaching, public speaking, and crisis intervention expertise to serve our community with empathy and professionalism. **Duties** * Provide spiritual counseling and Christian\-based support to patients and families facing end\-of\-life decisions and grief * Lead bereavement support groups, workshops, and educational sessions to help individuals process loss effectively * Develop and implement comprehensive bereavement programs tailored to diverse needs within the community * Offer crisis intervention services during emotional or spiritual emergencies, ensuring immediate comfort and guidance * Deliver engaging presentations on topics related to hospice care, grief management, and spiritual wellness at community events or healthcare settings * Mentor healthcare staff and volunteers on providing compassionate spiritual care and effective communication techniques * Manage conflict resolution and facilitate difficult conversations with sensitivity and professionalism * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate spiritual care into overall patient treatment plans **Requirements** * A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in theology, pastoral counseling, social work, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred * Certification or licensure as a chaplain or pastoral counselor is highly desirable * Proven experience in hospice care, bereavement support, or spiritual counseling within healthcare settings * Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members and volunteers * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to deliver compelling presentations and facilitate group discussions * Demonstrated expertise in teaching, public speaking, event planning, and crisis management techniques * Knowledge of Christian counseling principles and experience providing faith\-based support during grief processes * Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion, conflict management skills, and crisis intervention capabilities This role is essential in fostering a supportive environment where patients and families find comfort through faith\-based guidance and compassionate care.
