**Responsibilities**
* Provide spiritual care and Christian counseling tailored to individual patient needs, respecting diverse faith backgrounds
* Lead bereavement support groups, offering guidance and comfort to grieving families through structured programs and one\-on\-one sessions
* Develop and deliver educational presentations on topics related to hospice care, grief management, and spiritual wellness for community groups and healthcare teams
* Serve as a public speaker at community events to promote understanding of hospice services and bereavement resources
* Mentor healthcare staff on spiritual and emotional aspects of patient care, fostering a compassionate team environment
* Coordinate memorial services, remembrance events, and crisis intervention efforts to support families during difficult times
* Manage conflict resolution and crisis management situations with sensitivity, ensuring emotional safety for all involved
**Requirements**
* Minimum of 2 CPE's is required
* Bachelor’s degree in theology, pastoral care, counseling or related field; Master’s degree preferred
* Valid certification or licensure as a chaplain or pastoral counselor; experience in hospice care highly desirable
* Proven expertise in bereavement support, crisis intervention, Christian counseling, and event planning
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to teach, present confidently, and facilitate meaningful discussions on sensitive topics
* Strong leadership qualities with experience mentoring staff or volunteers in healthcare or community settings
* Exceptional writing skills for creating educational materials, reports, and correspondence
* Ability to manage conflict effectively while maintaining professionalism and compassion in high\-pressure situations
