Groundskeeper (Temporary/Seasonal)

Responsibilities: As a Cemetery Groundskeeper, your responsibilities will include: Grounds Cleanup: Maintain the cleanliness of the cemetery by collecting debris, leaves, and other materials, and ensuring trash receptacles are emptied regularly. Grave Care: Assist in the opening and closing of graves for burials, ensuring that graves are prepared according to established guidelines and regulations. Irrigation and Watering: Monitor and adjust irrigation systems as needed to ensure proper hydration of plants and grass. Headstone Cleaning: Clean and care for headstones and markers, ensuring they remain clear and legible. Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain landscaping equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety. Customer Interaction: Interact with visitors respectfully and professionally, offering assistance and information as needed. Landscape Maintenance: Perform general landscaping duties such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting flowers, and maintaining trees to ensure the cemetery grounds are well\-manicured. Qualifications: Valid driver's license in good standing. No exceptions. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or a related field is preferred but not required. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. A positive, can\-do attitude and eagerness to work on a dynamic and diverse team. Basic knowledge of gardening and excavation tools and equipment. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow guidelines. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (over 50 lbs.).
