Job Description
**Overview**
Join our team as a Grounds Associate on a temporary basis with the potential to transition into a permanent role! In this dynamic position, you'll play a vital part in maintaining the overall appearance of the grounds, buildings, and monuments to uphold cemetery standards. Your energy and attention to detail will help ensure equipment is well\-maintained and grounds are kept pristine. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in lawn care and grounds maintenance while working in a fast\-paced environment that values your contributions.
**Duties**
* **Operate grounds equipment including mowers, trimmers, saws, blowers and vacuums, etc**
* **Fulfill interments and final grave care**
* **Complete service set ups and removals**
* **Install memorial foundations/ install memorials**
* **Drive light and medium duty trucks**
* **Load and unload trucks and shipments as needed**
* **Perform mowing, trimming, weed control, pruning, stump removal, etc**
* **Install sod grass/ grass seed**
* **Settling and tamping of graves**
* **Install bouquet holders, water cans, etc**
* **Clear leaves, limbs, trash, and snow as needed**
* **Operate vault carrier and casket lift**
* **Operate basic hand tools and equipment**
* **Water and maintain floral and landscape**
* **Assist in various tasks by carrying, moving, and positioning materials, equipment and tools**
* **Operate grounds equipment such as tractors, gators, etc**
* **Requirements**
* **High school diploma or GED or 2\+ years of related experience in an administrative, grounds maintenance, or related position.**
* **Excellent communication skills.**
* **Excellent attention to detail.**
* **Ability to prioritize tasks**
* **Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.**
* **Ability to perform well in a fast\-paced environment.**
* **Valid Driver’s License**
* **Ability to communicate with customers and staff members.**
* **Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time**
* **Use hands to install, remove, adjust, operate, handle, push, and collect.**
* **Use arms to crawl.**
* **Ability to stoop, climb, and kneel.**
* **Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.**
Pay: $17\.50 \- $18\.00 per hour
