Job Description
**Job Summary**
Join our compassionate team as a Funeral Service Apprentice and embark on a meaningful career dedicated to serving families during their most difficult times. **Duties**
* Assist funeral directors with planning and organizing funeral services, including logistical arrangements and coordination of ceremonies
* Provide empathetic bereavement support to grieving families, offering comfort and guidance throughout the process
* Support the setup and breakdown of funeral services, including transportation, casket handling, and venue preparation
* Participate in event planning activities to ensure smooth execution of memorial services and related events
* Perform heavy lifting tasks related to casket transportation, equipment setup, and venue arrangements
* Engage in sales activities by explaining service options and assisting families in selecting appropriate arrangements
* Maintain detailed records of service details, family preferences, and logistical information to ensure seamless operations
**Skills**
* Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to provide compassionate bereavement support
* Basic understanding of funeral directing procedures and industry standards
* Excellent organizational skills for event planning and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously
* Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual tasks involved in service setup and transportation
* Effective communication skills for interacting with families, team members, and vendors
* Ability to learn quickly and follow detailed instructions accurately
