Funeral Home Attendant

We are currently seeking a Funeral Director Assistant to join our close\-knit team. This role will begin on a PerDiem basis, and could evolve into Full\-Time for the right candidate. This job is ideal for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and attentive to detail. As an assistant, you will help support funeral directors in carrying out services. Email résumé to: [email protected] **Duties may include:** * Assisting funeral directors with service execution * Greeting and guiding families and guests during visitations and services * Setting up and maintaining chapels and service areas (flowers, lighting, seating, etc) * Assisting with transportation of decedents to and from locations * Driving hearse, limousines, service vehicles, or family cars as needed * Handling paperwork and administrative support tasks * Preparing memorial materials (register books, cards, photos, etc.) * Cleaning and maintaining facilities, vehicles, and equipment * Supporting aftercare efforts with compassion and discretion * Performing other tasks as requested to ensure smooth service delivery **What We’re Looking For:** * A calm, caring demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills * Strong sense of professionalism, discretion, and empathy * Valid driver’s license with clean driving record * Ability to lift heavy weight and remain on your feet for extended periods * Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends * Experience in funeral service or caregiving is an asset, but not required * Professional appearance Job Type: Full\-time Pay: $20\.00 \- $25\.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Health insurance * Paid time off * Retirement plan Shift availability: * Day Shift (Preferred) * Night Shift (Preferred) * Overnight Shift (Preferred) Ability to Commute: * Township of Brick, NJ 08724 (Required) Work Location: In person
