**Job Title:** Funeral Home Associate **Location:** Beyers Funeral Home, Purcell Chapel, Bushnell, Florida **Employment Type:** Full\-Time \| Part Time \| On Call **Overview:** We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Home Associate. This role is integral to providing support to grieving families and ensuring that funeral services are conducted with dignity and respect. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Family Support:** Assist families during funeral arrangements, providing empathetic guidance and support throughout the planning and service process. * **Service Preparation:** Prepare the funeral service areas by setting up caskets, arranging floral displays, and ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of chapels and parlors. * **Logistical Coordination:** Coordinate transportation of the deceased, including driving hearses or other vehicles, and assist with the setup and breakdown of service equipment. * **Administrative Duties:** Handle administrative tasks such as filing necessary documentation, maintaining records, and assisting with the preparation of obituaries and service programs. * **Facility Maintenance:** Ensure that the funeral home facilities are maintained in a clean and orderly manner, including restocking supplies and performing light housekeeping duties. **Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in mortuary science or related fields is a plus. * Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide comfort and support to grieving individuals. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed. * Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting and moving caskets and standing for extended periods. **Preferred Experience:** * Previous experience in a funeral home or related setting. * Familiarity with funeral service procedures and customs. * Basic knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures. **Working Conditions:** * Exposure to emotional situations involving grieving families. * Work may involve standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects. * Availability to work on\-call hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. **Application Process:** Interested candidates should submit a resume and a cover letter detailing their qualifications and interest in the position.
