This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a difference during one of the most important moments in a family’s life. **Key Responsibilities** **Service Support \& Setup** * Assist with the setup and breakdown of funeral, memorial, and graveside services * Arrange floral displays, seating, equipment, and ceremonial items * Escort and guide families and guests during services in a calm, respectful manner * Assist funeral directors during visitations, services, and processions **Removals \& Preparation Assistance** * Participate in removals/transportation of decedents from homes, facilities, or hospitals * Handle decedents with dignity and follow all safety and procedural guidelines * Assist with preparation tasks as directed (non‑embalming), such as dressing, casketing, or setting features **Facility Care \& Operations** * Maintain cleanliness and organization of chapels, prep areas, vehicles, and equipment * Perform general cleaning duties before and after services * Ensure vehicles are fueled, stocked, and ready for service * Support back‑of‑house operations as needed **Professionalism \& Compliance** * Uphold all health, safety, and legal standards * Maintain a compassionate, respectful presence at all times * Protect the privacy and dignity of families and their loved ones **Requirements** * Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely (caskets, equipment, supplies) * Strong interpersonal skills with a calm, compassionate demeanor * Professional appearance and conduct * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team * Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record * Previous funeral home, caregiving, or event‑support experience is helpful but not required; training provided **Why Join Our Team** This role is ideal for individuals who want to serve their community with compassion while gaining valuable experience in funeral service.
