Full Time Groundskeeper

Once a part of Kenrick\-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. **Job Summary** **Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum** To prepare for and service funerals; perform general maintenance at all locations of Catholic Cemeteries; a multifaceted position; grounds employees are members of SIUE Local 1**Job Responsibilities** * Knowledge of all sections and equipment * Opening and closing of graves and crypts * Tent set up and take down * Service graveside funerals * Placement of casket in crypt, grave or outer container and back filling grave * Install memorial foundations, set or reset memorial work * Disinterment work * General maintenance and Endowed Care work, not limited to lawnmowing, weed trimming, shrub trimming and tree care * Training provided * Other duties and responsibilities as assigned * *Light duty work is not available* **Job Requirements** * High School Diploma or GED equivalent * Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or actively working towards obtaining CDL * Equipment Operation: + Tractor trailer + Backhoe (grave digging machine) + Hi\-Lift tractor + Truck boom crane + Basket lift machine + 12’, 6’, and smaller motorized lawn mowers + Motorized push mower + Riding, backpack, and hand\-pushed leaf blowers + Hedge, tree trimming, and string trimming equipment + Chain saws and snow blowers + Other power equipment * Hand Skills: + Shovel and broom usage + Hoes, rakes, and felling trees + Cleaning branches + Painting and board laying + Road sealing and curb maintenance + Concrete and masonry work + Minor mechanical repairs The Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
