We are seeking an empathetic, driven, and professional individual to join our team as a Family Service Counselor, helping families navigate the complexities of end\-of\-life planning and ensuring every life is honored beautifully.
**Job Summary**
The Family Service Counselor acts as a guide and advisor to families, specializing in the sale of cemetery property, memorial products, and pre\-need funeral arrangements. This role requires a unique balance of compassionate service, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to meeting sales goals. You will be a source of comfort and expertise, helping families make informed decisions to secure peace of mind.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide compassionate guidance to both at\-need (immediate need) and pre\-need (advance planning) families, assisting them with cemetery property, memorial sales, and service selections.
* Conduct family consultations to understand their needs, traditions, and financial considerations, presenting personalized options with professionalism and sensitivity.
* Generate and manage leads, schedule appointments, and maintain strong follow\-up communication to build long\-term relationships within the community.
* Complete all necessary documentation accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with all company and state regulations.
* Collaborate effectively with funeral directors and other staff members to ensure a seamless and positive experience for every family served.
* Act as a community ambassador for Rosewood Memorial Parks, participating in outreach efforts to educate the public on the benefits of pre\-planning.
**Qualifications \& Requirements**
* Proven success in a consultative sales or customer\-facing role is highly preferred.
* Exceptional listening, communication, and interpersonal skills with a high degree of empathy.
* Self\-motivated, organized, and results\-oriented with the ability to manage time effectively.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings and weekends, to accommodate family meetings.
* Must be able to manage the emotional demands of working with grieving families.
**License Requirement:**
* A valid **Driver's License** is required.
**Compensation and Benefits**
* **Compensation:** Competitive compensation package including a base salary plus uncapped commission. Starting On\-Target Earnings (OTE) range from **$50,000 \- $100,000\+**, with high\-performing individuals earning significantly more.
