Facilities Maintenance Technician

**Job Summary \- Facilities Maintenance Technician** Greenwood Funeral Homes \~ Cremation is searching for a skilled and efficient **Facilities Maintenance Technician** to keep our buildings in excellent condition. In this role, you will be responsible for the general upkeep of our buildings, performing repairs and ensuring everything is safe and well\-run. You will respond to reports of buildings and equipment in need of repair, applying your knowledge and skills to inspect and diagnose the issue, and develop and implement a repair plan. Hours are generally Monday \- Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but on\-call availability is required for problems that occur outside the general work hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends as our buildings are open 7\-days per week. Sample of Duties: * *Everyday maintenance.* This can include anything from performing routine maintenance on building systems to interior upkeep, like painting. * *Repairs.* Repairs can include fixing appliances, equipment and machinery, patching up drywall, replacing damaged parts, and more. * *Handling requests.* This means addressing tickets or work requests, which can include anything from fixing minor plumbing issues to more complicated work, like diagnosing electrical issues. * *Maintenance checks.* Completing regular, routine checks of the building and its systems to ensure everything is well\-maintained and runs as it should. Requirements: * An understanding of basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry * Machine/equipment repair knowledge * Building maintenance knowledge * An understanding of hand and power tools * Texas Driver's License and Insurable Driving Record * Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, or working in confined spaces safely * Willingness and ability to work in all weather conditions Thank you for your interest in working for one of the nation’s premier funeral home and cemetery firms.
