The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating cremation equipment and ensuring that all procedures are conducted with the utmost respect and care for the deceased. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of daily operations. **Responsibilities** * Operate cremation equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. * Prepare the deceased for cremation, ensuring proper identification and documentation. * Conduct routine maintenance on crematory equipment to ensure optimal performance. * Manage the cremation process from start to finish, including monitoring temperatures and times. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards. * Assist in the handling of remains with dignity and respect, providing support to families as needed. * Collaborate with funeral directors and staff to ensure seamless service delivery. **Qualifications** * Previous experience in a funeral home or crematory setting is preferred but not required. * Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating industrial equipment. * Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the preparation of remains. * Excellent attention to detail with a compassionate approach towards families in their time of need. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and families. * A valid driver's license may be required for transportation purposes.
