Crematory Operation Assistant

**Overview** We are seeking a dedicated Crematory Operation Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the cremation process with professionalism and respect, ensuring all procedures are carried out safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a respectful attitude toward the sensitive nature of this position. Training will be provided. This is an essential role that requires physical strength (ability to maneuver 300\+lb. units) and attention to detail, contributing to our commitment to providing dignified services to families. **Responsibilities** * Assist with the preparation and operation of cremation equipment in accordance with established protocols * Perform heavy lifting when handling caskets, remains, or equipment, ensuring safety at all times * Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the crematory area following health regulations * Support the setup and breakdown of equipment for daily operations * Monitor equipment during cremation processes, making adjustments as necessary under supervision * Document procedures accurately and maintain detailed records of each cremation process * Follow all safety guidelines and industry standards to ensure a secure working environment **Skills** * Mechanical knowledge or aptitude for working with industrial equipment is highly desirable * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently * Ability to work well under pressure and problem\-solve in intense environments. * Experience or familiarity with relative industries is a plus but not mandatory * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Respectful demeanor when handling sensitive situations and materials * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a respectful, professional environment * Reliability and punctuality * Ability to follow strict procedural guidelines and processes * Willingness and competence to pass certification course after probationary period The position reports directly to our Crematory Manager.
