They will work daily to build outside brand awareness and promote the services of a funeral home operation within a community through grass roots marketing, assisting funeral home staff with creative memorials and hosting creative events outlined and calendarized annually. **Essential Functions** * Coordinates, plans, schedules and oversees project assignments for events that bring brand awareness to the funeral home and promote products, services and ideas of the company. * Works with leadership to develop grass roots marketing tools and helps execute the grass roots marketing plans. * Researches and recommends additional events and community outreach programs. * Builds and maintains relationships with members of the community, key individuals and other organizations. * Works with cross\-functional teams to ensure events are executed on time and in accordance with Park Lawn company standards. * Plans and conducts preneed and educational seminars, grief seminars and senior center events on site or in the community. * Collaborates in creating promotional material, sales material and product displays for events. * Works with management to create the events budget, reviewing and collecting vendor invoices. * Makes regular in\-person, email, and phone contacts with hospice and senior care staff to elevate awareness and provide information about company products and services. * Plans and host events and programs on topics of interest to senior health care and hospice providers highlighting services and resources the company provides. * Serves as key point of contact for neighboring businesses, hospices, senior care facilities including responding to inquiries from interested parties. * Attends and engages in local networking events and maintains civic organization involvement. * Ensures Facebook and company website are updated with scheduled events. * Assists funeral directors in creating personal memorial tributes creating memories of a lifetime. * Seeks out opportunities for brand growth. * Other duties as assigned. **Competencies** * Communication Proficiency. * Teamwork Orientation. * Detail Orientation. * Customer Service Orientation. * Time Management. **Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure** * Four\-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. * At least 1\-year experience or background in hospice, nursing or senior care preferred. * Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record. **Additional Eligibility Qualifications** * Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Bilingual is a plus. * High degree of overall computer proficiency. * High degree of proficiency in local and virtual data management tools (Internet, Dropbox, Microsoft file management structure). * High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Effective and professional communication skills, with an emphasis on verbal skills and the ability to resolve and respond to issues in a professional manner. * Ability to empathize with client families and their guests and demonstrate tact and patience in emotionally charged situations. * Ability to maintain a positive attitude and working environment through organization, willingness to learn, and communication. * Ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and exercise good judgment. * Attention to detail and follow\-through. **Supervisory Responsibility** This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. **Physical Demands and Work Environment** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * The duties associated with this position are generally performed in an indoor office setting; however, some duties may be performed outdoors. * Outdoor duties may require exposure to natural elements such as inclement weather, extreme temperatures, uneven ground, dust, gas, and/or fumes. * Equipment used to perform the essential function of this position includes, but is not limited to; computer, fax, copier, multi\-line phone system, AV system, personal or company owned vehicle. * Employees in this role must have enough strength and manual dexterity and must be willing to work safely and comply with the Company’s safety procedures, including wearing any personal protective equipment that may be required. * Employees in this role are regularly required to climb, sit, stand, bend, kneel, and frequently lift to 25 pounds. * Performance of this position’s duties also requires power reaching, pushing, and pulling. * This position’s duties require routine exposure to chemicals and/or blood borne pathogens.
