Job Description
**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly motivated **Community Development Specialist** to develop and maintain relationships with institutions that can refer families in need of funeral services, you will work closely with **hospitals, hospices, social workers, churches, and other referral sources** to expand our reach and increase service awareness.
This is a highly interactive role requiring frequent travel, networking, and event coordination.
**Performance expectations:**
* Conduct a minimum of 50 in\-person institutional visits per month.
* Deliver at least 8 in\-services or educational presentations monthly.
* Conduct 20 one on one meetings with key decision\-makers.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key decision\-makers in **hospices, hospitals, social service organizations, churches, and other community partners** to generate referrals.
* Regularly analyze outreach efforts and adjust strategies to improve referral rates.
* Maintain accurate **reports, work plans, and referral tracking** to measure performance.
* Strategically convert active accounts into top referral partners
* Stay informed about funeral home services, industry trends, and best practices through continuous education.
This position is measured by
* Activity volume (Visits, presentations, events)
* Relationship development
* Account growth
* Institutional conversion.
**Qualifications \& Requirements**
* **Minimum of 2\-3 years of experience in healthcare and community outreach, hospice liaison, Medical sales, Insurance Sales and Business development, required.**
* Bilingual(English \& Spanish) required**.**
* Strong networking, relationship\-building, and communication skills.
* Ability to travel 75% of the time (mileage reimbursement provided).
* Must have a personal vehicle for work\-related travel.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
**Work Environment \& Physical Requirements**
* Must be able to lift 25 lbs. as needed.
* Work will be both indoors and outdoors, including visiting hospitals, hospices, and community centers.
* Standard office equipment usage (computer, phone, copier, etc.).
Job Type: Full\-time
Pay: $27\.00 \- $30\.00 per hour
