Job Description Responsible for managing * Yearly fire extinguisher/water test (Clerk schedules/orders). * Works with funeral homes and headstone companies for the cemetery as needed. * Ensures flags are put at half\-staff on proper occasions. * Calls when propane tanks need filled/attention. * Changing Furnace Filters Monthly * Softening all graves with topsoil and seed immediately after burials. * Town Hall/Fire Hall checklist on boiler 3 months before expiration. ***FALL CLEAN\-UP \& WINTERIZING \-*** During Winterization keep a list of any damaged supplies that will need to be replaced and turn them into the Clerk/Deputy Clerk for ordering. * Bases removed from both ball diamonds, Clean out Baseball Chalker * Tennis/Volleyball/Basketball nets removed, Tetherballs removed * Clean all flower beds and remove leaves from grounds. * Putt\-Putt course tarped, putters and balls put into storage. * Winterize air conditioners. * Remove any batteries in equipment that will not be used over winter. * Veterans’ markers/flags removed from graves. ***SPRING*** * Chalking/painting of baseball and soccer fields as needed. * Work on capital improvement projects. * Soften all winter graves with topsoil and seed them. * Remove grave blankets, damaged, and misplaced items in cemetery the last two weeks of April. * Replace any damaged markers at Cemetery. * Water Testing at Town Hall/Office/Fire Department ***WEEKLY*** * Garbage cans be emptied and deodorized. * Weed Whipping \& Mowing all township property * Snow removal and shoveling/salting of entries of buildings. * Cemetery Chapel Cleaning for scheduled service/burials ***MAINTENANCE OF EQUIPMENT/BUILDINGS*** * Changing of oil, belt replacement, and seeing to any other major upkeep by authorized repairman. * Repairing or setting up repair by an authorized repairman for any facility with the need.
